We are a marketplace/listing directory designed to bring people and organizations together to support the California business community during the COVID-19 health crisis. See the about page for more info.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE INITIATIVE?

SaveCaliforniaBusiness is open to any business currently affected by the COVID-19 outbreak who wishes to sell future services. We are happy to help any business that needs it.

CAN I DONATE TO SAVECALIFORNIABUSINESS.COM?

We’re not accepting donations directly. Instead, we encourage you to order online and/or purchase gift cards from your favorite business to provide the funds directly to them.

HOW DO I BUY A GIFT CARD TO SUPPORT THE BUSINESS I LOVE?

Search for a business using our Find a Business tool to find the gift card details.

IS THERE A FEE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE INITIATIVE?

No! There is no fee involved in adding your restaurant to the directory.

WHEN CAN I REDEEM MY DINING BOND?

Gift cards may be redeemed at the time a business re-opens or resumes its normal operation or at the specific given date by the restaurant. To find out when your gift cards may be redeemed, please check with the business from which you purchased your gift card (the date upon which businesses resume normal operations may vary by industry or location).

IS THERE A DEADLINE FOR PURCHASING?

No.

IS THERE AN EXPIRATION DATE?

Each restaurant will have their own policies about this. Please check with your individual restaurant for expiration dates and other terms and conditions.

WHAT IF A RESTAURANT OR BUSINESS I WANT TO SUPPORT IS NOT LISTED HERE?

Tell them about our program and ask them to fill out the participation form on this website.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I BUY A DINING BOND AND THAT RESTAURANT/BUSINESS CLOSES?

Please consider the purchase of a Gift Card Bond to be both an investment in the future of a business, as well as a contribution to that business. If, in the event a business can’t reopen, know that your financial support today will still help them through some of their immediate financial challenges.

SaveCaliforniaBusiness.com cannot guarantee that restaurants will reopen or refund gift cards if they are forced to close. We strongly encourage consumers to carefully review each restaurant's terms and conditions before purchasing, and to learn more about their rights under their card issuer’s cardholder agreement and through state consumer protection agencies.

HOW CAN I ADD MY BUSINESS TO THE DIRECTORY?

Add your restaurant’s information here to encourage your guests to support your business. After you enter your information, you’ll receive a confirmation email. We'll contact you if necessary

WHAT IS A GIFT CARD BOND?

Gift Card Bonds are a method by which businesses can gain access to immediate financial relief provided to them by their own loyal customer base. These gift cards work like a bond in that they appreciate in value.

Ex) a gift card is sold for $75 but has a value of $100 at “maturity*.”

Imagine if you can sold 100 of these "bonds..." You could add $7,500 to your bottom line and your customers would be happy that they get $25 back in their pocket.

* We use the word "maturity" to signify when the gift card can be redeemed. Normally when the business re-opens, but dates are up to the business.

I'VE TEMPORARILY CLOSED AS A RESULT OF COVID19, CAN I STILL ACCEPT GIFT CARD PURCHASES?

It’s up to you if you’d like to continue allowing guests to purchase gift cards from you while you’re closed. Many restaurants are using gift card purchases as a continued form of support while they’re closed and guests will be able to redeem them when the business is back in full operation capacity.

However, businesses that do not intend to reopen should not accept gift cards purchases. SaveCaliforniaBusiness.com does not encourage any business to accept gift cards unless they plan to honor those cards upon reopening. Note that SaveCaliforniaBusiness.com will not be responsible for any unredeemable gift card as the transaction is done directly with the business you choose to support.

WHY IS MY BUSINESS LISTED ON SAVECALIFORNIABUSINESS.COM?

With their consent, SaveCaliforniaBusiness.com has included businesses that have used Kulture Konnect, Inc services in the past. We allow businesses to add their own listing so their customers can support them during this time. We also allow individuals to add restaurants they love using publicly available information.

HOW CAN I REMOVE MY BUSINESS FROM THIS DIRECTORY?

If you prefer to not be listed on this directory, you can send us a message to remove your restaurant here. We ’ll remove you from the directory within 48 hours.
